01 · What it grades
Each area gets its own score out of 100, and the grade for the page is their weighted average. SEO weighs most because it decides whether the page is found at all.

Weighs most
10 checks
Core Web Vitals from Google's own Lighthouse run, plus the transport facts we measure ourselves: first byte, weight, compression, caching.
Weighs most
14 checks
Valid markup, HTTPS and its certificate, security headers, JavaScript errors in the console, and Lighthouse's own best practices audit.
Weighs most
5 checks
Google's Lighthouse accessibility run (contrast, names, labels, landmarks) plus what we read in the HTML ourselves: form labels, link text, icon buttons, zoom.
Weighs most
2 checks
Every link on the page is resolved, capped at fifty, so dead targets and downgrades to plain http surface before a visitor finds them.

02 · Reading the grade
90-100
Good
Few problems left, and mostly small ones. Check the warnings when you have time.
50-89
Needs work
Real problems, usually a few heavy checks failing. Fix those first.
0-49
Poor
Heavy checks fail in several areas at once. Start with the fixes at the top of the report.
03 · Raising it
A failing check earns nothing, and turning it into a warning already wins back half its weight. The report opens with the five fixes worth the most points, each with how many it wins back.
Together they are 35% plus 25% of the grade. Their heaviest checks, a page blocked by noindex or a slow Largest Contentful Paint, move the grade more than anything else.
A page graded in the last 15 minutes shows the same report, so give a fix a few minutes before you check the new grade.
It grades one page. Need the whole site?
A free account runs a site audit of up to 20 pages, watches client pages weekly and puts your agency's logo on the report.
A tool that loads a page the way a search engine and a browser do and scores it: here out of 100, for the page and for each area, with a list of every problem found and how to fix it.
Yes. Grading a page needs no account and no card, and the reports are free while Scoreling is in early access.
Each check has a weight. An area's score is the weight of the checks that pass over the weight of the checks that apply, with a warning counting half. The total is the areas' scores weighted as shown above. Checks that do not apply to the page, such as hreflang on a site in one language, leave the sum instead of counting against it.
PageSpeed Insights scores speed alone. Here, the Lighthouse performance score is one check inside the speed area, next to Core Web Vitals and what we measure ourselves, and speed is a quarter of the total. A fast page with a missing title and broken links still grades low.
It grades the page you enter, since each page has its own title, links and speed. To grade up to 20 pages of a site in one go, sign in and run a site audit from your account.
After every change you want to check, and otherwise once a month. A page graded in the last 15 minutes shows the same report, so wait a little after a fix before grading again.
It answers the same question, how good is this page, and for every check it shows what was found on the page and how to fix it. Each area has its own score, and grading a page needs no email address.
Free, no sign-up, and the pages you grade are not tracked.
